"We took inspiration from Pingtung’s famous circular landmarks and brought that vibe into the West Market. We wanted to break away from those boring, straight lines you usually see in markets to create an open, plaza-style layout that naturally pulls people together.
By using the market’s standard 300cm x 300cm stalls as our building blocks, we mixed a diagonal arrangement with a new circular flow. This makes the space feel more connected and shortens the distance between the shop owners and the customers.
It's not just a place to buy things—it’s a sensory journey. As you walk through, every turn gives you a fresh look at different cultures and a new taste of the world."
