As the "smoke-free city" becomes a global vision, establishing smoking areas is often debated. Smoking involves a hidden need for stress relief, yet the lack of inclusive transitional spaces has turned the shared desire for clean air into a harsh boundary between smokers and non-smokers.
To address this, we propose the Breathing Station. This modular system of semi-transparent partitions adapts to diverse urban environments while subtly dissolving public stigma. Inside, efficient air purification technology and leaning modules create a comfortable experience, capturing smoke before it disperses.
Rather than forcing behavioral change, we aim to reconstruct urban air justice through warm, minimalist street furniture. The Breathing Station ensures dignity for smokers and zero pressure for passersby, reclaiming a shared space where individual needs and the social environment can harmoniously coexist.
