在十分遙遠的未來，人類已幾近滅亡，世界被無盡的冰天雪地給覆蓋。
而故事的起點便是那最後的人類聚落—圍繞著一個巨大鍋爐構築起的地下城鎮，在資源無比匱乏的情況下，人們為了維生必須依賴位於城鎮底部的鍋爐提供能源，以榨取一種能夠產生巨大能源的生物：雪火獸來維持城鎮運作，而鍋爐的核心能源，是以雪火獸之中被稱為「餘火」的小雪火獸作為燃料驅動的，然而如今，鍋爐中的「餘火」已要燃盡...
在我們的作品中，整體想呈現的是一種末世廢土風的美術風格，而有關雪火獸及最後的城鎮等看似科幻的設定，其中則是隱含著對於現今世界的隱喻，同時也希望透過在這樣的世界觀中，唯一還保留著與眾不同的價值觀的女孩：艾瑟的抉擇來表現出一段講述追尋夢想和自由的故事。
In the far future, humanity is on the brink of extinction, and the world is buried beneath endless ice and snow.
The story begins in the last human settlement—a subterranean city built around a massive furnace. With resources nearly depleted, people depend entirely on this furnace for survival, fueling it by harvesting Snowfire Beasts, creatures capable of producing immense energy. At its core, the furnace is powered by “Embers,” young Snowfire Beasts used as fuel. Now, the remaining Embers are close to running out.
The work presents a post-apocalyptic, frozen wasteland aesthetic. While its science fiction elements serve as worldbuilding, they also reflect metaphors for real-world issues.
At the center of the story is Aether, a girl who still holds onto her own values in a society built on sacrifice. Through her choices, the story explores the pursuit of freedom and the courage to follow one’s beliefs, even in a dying world.
