Taiwan’s traditional festivals are vital cultural carriers, yet ritual waste often conflicts with modern environmental values. "Wang Ye Beach Cleaning Season" harmonizes this relationship by merging the Donggang King Boat Ceremony with ecological action.
We redefine "purification" as a shared language: the religious rite of expelling plagues aligns perfectly with the act of cleaning our beaches. By reinterpreting the Wen Fu Wang Ye faith through a functional toolkit, we invite participants to rediscover their heritage while protecting the planet.
Our design features an Open Portable Functional Carrier that integrates tools without excess packaging. By stripping away unnecessary structures, the design itself becomes a physical manifestation of "purification"—a bridge connecting ancestral roots with a sustainable future.
