《Dispell》是一款第三人稱單人 3D 平台動作冒險遊戲。玩家將扮演一名靈媒,穿梭於城市與自然交錯的場域之中,探索並化解各種超自然異常現象。在旅程中,玩家會遇見形態各異的「念頭生物」,透過淨化與互動吸收其特性,轉化為自身能力,進而突破地形限制、解開環境謎題,逐步推進關卡並拼湊出世界的真相。
本作以「念頭」為核心機制,將抽象的情感與記憶具象化為可互動的存在,使玩法與敘事緊密結合。遊戲世界觀融合台灣與馬來西亞的文化脈絡,結合民間信仰、都市發展與環境變遷,呈現道路開發、城市擴張下被忽視的生命痕跡與「路殺」等議題。「念頭生物」不僅是玩家能力的來源,也是環境與歷史記憶的象徵。
透過探索與解謎的過程,玩家將在無形之中觀察並感受科技發展與時代變遷所帶來的人與自然之間的矛盾與影響,進而反思其中的衝突與代價。
Dispell is a third-person, single-player 3D platforming action-adventure game. Players take on the role of a medium who explores the city to uncover and resolve hidden supernatural anomalies.
Throughout the journey, players encounter various “Thought Creatures.” By dispelling and absorbing these entities, they gain unique abilities that enable them to overcome environmental challenges, traverse obstacles, and progressively uncover the truth of the world.
Inspired by Taiwanese and Malaysian cultural contexts, the game weaves together elements of folk beliefs, urban expansion, and environmental change. Through environmental storytelling—featuring imagery such as roads and roadkill—Dispell reflects the often-overlooked traces of life affected by modernization.
By integrating gameplay and narrative, the game invites players to experience and reflect on the tensions between technological development and the natural world, as well as the contradictions brought about by changing times.
