樹皮布承載的不只是在織布技術進入台灣前的生活方式，更擁有了祖先們的智慧與大自然共存的故事，利用了台灣常見的構樹做為原料，再結合六大工序進行製作，真正的呈現出與這片土地共生共存的方式。
述樹，意為述說有關樹皮布的一切，我們希望經由設計，闡述出樹皮布背後的歷史，讓身在台灣的我們都能夠去了解這項難以被看見的文化，透過不同的詮釋，發現樹皮布獨一無二的地方，更帶出更多樣化的模樣。
將感官體驗融入設計，書籍以多層次的視覺設計呼應樹皮結構，且透過多方面互動了解並感受台灣原生文化-樹皮布，以視覺觀察樹皮布的製作流程和構造、以聽覺享受樹皮經由延展的過程、以觸覺感受樹皮布的獨特紋理，最後以嗅覺的方式感受樹皮布帶來的清香，將知覺融合設計，也帶出這項技藝的多變與繁複，並以親子互動體驗樹皮布工藝整體流程，藉此增加文化傳承的影響力。
Barkcloth represents more than a way of life before weaving was introduced to Taiwan; it embodies the wisdom of ancestors and their stories of living in harmony with nature. Made from the native paper mulberry tree and crafted through six key processes, it reflects a deep connection with the land.
“Shu Shu” means to narrate everything about barkcloth. Through design, we aim to present its history and bring attention to this often-overlooked culture. By reinterpreting it in diverse ways, we reveal its uniqueness and evolving forms.
This project integrates sensory experience into design. The book uses layered visuals to echo bark structure and invites interaction: seeing its process, hearing its transformation, touching its textures, and sensing its natural scent. Parent-child activities further simulate the craft, enhancing cultural understanding and transmission.
