Self-Carrying
Self-Carrying
Concept:
The handle is inspired by a hanger, symbolizing the selves that are suspended and put on display. The use of acrylic reflects the clear, defined outlines that people present in modern society. A hanger is not merely a tool for hanging clothes—it represents a form of “being elevated”: being chosen, expected, and even placed on a pedestal.
Inspiration:
The inspiration comes from garments hanging in a wardrobe—each piece is not only something we wear, but also a label we carry. By transforming the hanger into a structure that can be both carried and worn, it materializes the idea of “roles.” Held in the hand or worn on the body, it becomes an essential presence in daily life. The self is no longer something we simply wear, but something we carry with us.
