《本山五坑VR沈浸式體驗》是一款以台灣礦業歷史為核心的虛擬實境作品，透過數位建模與VR技術，重現本山五坑過去真實的礦坑環境與工作氛圍。玩家將以第一人稱視角進入幽暗而狹窄的礦道，在有限且壓迫的空間中進行探索與移動，親身感受礦坑環境所帶來的不安與危機。透過沉浸式體驗，使使用者理解當時礦工在高風險與艱困條件下，為了生計而投入礦業工作的真實處境。
本作品著重於歷史場景的真實還原與沉浸式氛圍塑造，依據礦坑結構與相關資料進行空間比例重建，並結合礦坑支撐設計、開採設備與環境音效，營造出具有臨場感的地下空間。同時融入互動探索元素，使使用者能主動觀察環境細節，從體驗過程中逐步認識礦業文化與其歷史背景，提升參與感與真實性。
隨著礦業逐漸沒落，許多礦坑已不再被使用，相關的歷史記憶也逐漸淡出人們的生活。本作品希望透過VR技術，將過去難以接觸的礦坑空間重新呈現，使觀者不只是觀看歷史，而是能夠親身進入其中，感受礦工的工作環境與心理壓力。藉由沉浸式體驗與數位保存，讓更多人重新認識台灣礦業文化的價值，並喚起大眾對歷史保存與文化傳承的重視。
Benshan Fifth Tunnel VR Immersive Experience is a virtual reality project inspired by Taiwan’s mining history. Using digital modeling and VR technology, it reconstructs the authentic environment of Benshan No. 5 Mine. From a first-person perspective, users explore dark, narrow tunnels and confined underground spaces, experiencing the danger, pressure, and harsh conditions miners once faced for their livelihood.
The project emphasizes historical accuracy and immersion. Tunnel structures, support systems, mining equipment, and environmental sound are recreated based on historical references, forming a realistic underground setting. Interactive exploration encourages users to observe details and understand the cultural significance of Taiwan’s mining industry.
As mining has declined, its history is gradually fading. This project preserves and reinterprets this heritage through VR, allowing users to step inside history and raising awareness of cultural preservation.
