【舊城轉角：居住與商業的共生重構】
鹽埕，曾是高雄港口繁華的樞紐，隨著都市重心東移，這座舊城區留下了許多滿載歷史記憶、卻靜待重新啟動的閒置空間。本計畫基地坐落於鄰近「駁二藝術特區」的高流動性轉角，這不僅是一個地理位置的交匯點，更具備成為街區活力節點的巨大潛力。
現況的轉角建築為屋主的私人住宅，緊鄰空間則是其長年經營的私廚料理。面對當代生活型態的質變，屋主決定打破原有的封閉邊界，將私廚轉型為更具開放性的咖啡空間。為因應機能擴增，業主購入了相鄰的停車場土地，藉此整合零碎的地景，不僅擴展了商業經營的範疇，也讓住宅空間獲得向側邊延伸與呼吸的餘裕。
這項空間改造計畫，核心在於「重新組構居住與商業的共生關係」。我們試圖在繁忙的街角與靜謐的居家生活間，尋求一種新型態的平衡。透過建築語彙的延伸與串連，原本單一的轉角房屋將轉化為一處融合歷史韻味與現代機能的複合體，讓生活的私密感與商業的開放性在鹽埕的巷弄間，展開一場跨越時代的對話。
Yancheng was once the bustling heart of Kaohsiung’s port area. As the city’s center shifted, it left behind many spaces rich with historical memory, waiting to be revitalized. This project is situated on a prominent corner near the Pier-2 Art Center, a location with high foot traffic and the potential to become a vibrant neighborhood node.
The existing corner building currently serves as a private residence, with the adjacent space operating as a private kitchen run by the owners. In response to changing times and lifestyles, the owners have decided to transform the private kitchen into a café. By acquiring the neighboring parking lot, they plan to expand the commercial area while extending the residential quarters sideways. This redesign aims to reconfigure the relationship between living and commercial spaces.
