以社會變遷為背景，作品強調個體在性別框架下的突破與重塑。隨著時代進步，人們對性別角色的想像逐漸改變，但長久以來形成的社會期待仍深深影響著個體的行為與自我認同。許多人在成長過程中被既定的性別印象所規範，從外在形象到性格特質，都被無形地限制在特定框架之中。
過去的刻板印象常認為男性應該堅強、有力量，在職場上要比女性更果斷、更強勢；然而，一旦表現出脆弱，或對女性化的事物產生喜好，就容易被貼上「娘娘腔」的標籤。相反地，女性若不夠柔弱、展現出獨立與力量，則常被視為「太強勢」或「不像女生」。這些既定觀念在無形之中形成壓力，使個體在追求真實自我的過程中產生矛盾與掙扎。
本作品以「蒔影」為主題，透過設計呈現人們在社會期待與自我認同之間的拉扯與轉變。「蒔」象徵改變與創造，如同種子被播種於土壤之中，代表在變動的社會中勇於重新定義自己，也象徵新的觀念逐漸萌芽與成長；「影」則映照出個體面對社會期待時的自我投射與內在矛盾，如影子般存在於內心深處。
兩者交織，呈現一段從束縛到釋放、從被定義到自我重生的過程。透過服裝設計將內在情緒轉化為外在視覺語言，表達個體在打破性別框架後逐漸找回自我、重建身份的歷程，展現新時代中多元而自由的個體樣貌。
Against the backdrop of social change, this project explores the breakthrough and reconstruction of identity within traditional gender frameworks. Although society has become more open, stereotypes about masculinity and femininity still influence how people express themselves.
Traditionally, men are expected to be strong and dominant, while women are expected to be gentle and soft. When men show vulnerability, they may be labeled as weak, while women who show independence or strength are often seen as too aggressive. These expectations create pressure as individuals struggle between social norms and their authentic selves.
This project, titled “Shiying,” reflects this tension through fashion design. “Shi” symbolizes change and creation, while “Ying” represents inner emotions and self-projection when facing social expectations. Together they present a journey from restriction to liberation and from being defined by others to rediscovering identity.
