Manifestations of Karma is a collage-based moving image work that integrates traditional Taiwanese chant-singing. Through the layered accumulation of sound and imagery, it transforms the abstract and often ineffable concept of causality into concrete visuals that can be both seen and emotionally experienced. Centered on the rhythmic and narrative qualities unique to chant-singing, the work positions sound as a key medium that guides the viewer into its immersive environment. Through repetition and variations in vocal tone, it creates an auditory atmosphere imbued with a sense of ritual, tension, and psychological weight, drawing the audience into a liminal space between reality and metaphor.
