本設計基地位於高雄小港機場南側的城市邊界，處於航空運輸系統與日常城市生活交會的位置。隨著機場擴建與旅客量增加，機場周邊逐漸轉變為具有發展潛力的城市介面。然而，現況仍以住宅與零散商業為主，缺乏可承接旅客停留、轉換與活動的公共節點。本設計以「旅程與城市之間的過渡層」為核心概念，提出一座整合交通、生活與公共性的複合式建築。
空間機能包含候車大廳、航空展示空間、餐飲設施、商務使用空間、短期住宿與觀景平台，回應回程旅客、商務人士與在地居民的多元需求。透過展覽、停留與觀景等不同層次的空間安排，使建築不僅作為交通支援設施，也成為城市活動的延伸場域。
建築量體採水平延展與分層堆疊的策略，回應基地長條形態與機場開闊的空間尺度。低層維持高度開放，形塑具有公共性的入口與活動空間；中層作為轉換帶，配置商務與交流機能；上層則結合住宿與觀景平台，提供面向天空與航道的視野。整體設計透過空間節奏的轉換，將移動中的旅程延伸至城市生活之中，建立一處具有公共性與識別性的城市邊界節點。
This project is located on the southern edge of Kaohsiung International Airport, redefining the boundary between aviation and urban life. It proposes a mixed-use hub integrating waiting, exhibition, dining, business, short-stay, and observation functions.
Through a horizontally layered and open architectural strategy, the design creates a spatial transition from public to private, supporting both movement and temporary pause. The transparent ground level forms a welcoming civic interface, while upper levels provide spaces for rest, work, and viewing.
The project aims to establish a civic node that connects travel with everyday urban experience.
