This project is based on Nüshu, a writing system created for women. It appeared when women had low status and no education. They wrote on handkerchiefs and fans for private communication. It was not resistance, but a gentle and resilient response.
Using Nüshu characters, we created tea bricks and flavored sugar. When arranged and brewed, they produce teas with different flavors, while also imbuing them with special meanings.
The jewelry extends different words of blessing and affirmation, like ''Her'' ''Beauty'' and ''You deserve nothing but the best'', incorporating them into everyday wear so that the characters quietly accompany you in a subtle way.
The overall design is based on the idea of “conveying emotions in a private way.” Through taste, visuals, and everyday accessories, abstract feelings are transformed into tangible forms, giving a gentle opportunity to express and experience what is often hard to put into words.
