《禁果》是一款2.5D橫向故事冒險遊戲,玩家將在短短的時間內體驗主角的一生。大量的細節與故事等待玩家發掘,遊戲中充滿各種社會寫實、毒品問題、心理壓力與諷刺元素。「最黑暗也最平常的人生寫照」是對本作最好的形容,同時,「教育」也是本遊戲的一大重點。
主角是一隻老鼠,生活中不斷累積的壓力早已令牠行走在崩潰邊緣,直到一通電話成為最後一根稻草,使主角深陷幻想中的壓力世界,遭到各種壓力的攻擊。在垂死之際,牠意外接受了來自惡魔的「蘋果」(象徵毒品),藉此逃入其他幻想世界。每當苟延殘喘、瀕臨崩潰之時,主角便再次依賴「蘋果」,讓自己逃往下一個幻想世界。然而,在不斷逃避的過程中,「蘋果」也讓主角一步步深陷其中……
主角被現實中堆積如山的壓力擊垮(夢想的壓力、金錢與時間的壓力、自我帶來的壓力),因此染上毒癮,在幻想世界中逐漸走向自我毀滅。遊戲共分為五個章節,分別為:悲慘的開始、來自太空的夢、人生商店、無盡的花海、悲慘的結束。其中,「來自太空的夢」、「人生商店」、「無盡的花海」各有一名Boss,分別象徵夢想、數字與自我,對應主角的三大壓力來源。
本作以畫面表現為製作重心,使用Unity 6進行開發,並以光影細節作為主要呈現特色。
"The Apple" is a 2.5D side-scrolling narrative adventure game where players experience the protagonist’s life in a short time. The game explores social realism, drug abuse, psychological pressure, and satire, portraying “the darkest yet most ordinary reflection of life.”
The protagonist, a mouse, is overwhelmed by growing life pressures. A phone call becomes the final trigger, pulling them into a surreal world shaped by stress. Near death, they accept an “apple” from a demon (symbolizing drugs) to escape into another fantasy world.
Each time they near collapse, they rely on the “apple” again, falling deeper into addiction and self-destruction. The story unfolds across five chapters, with key bosses representing Dreams, Numbers, and the Self—each symbolizing different sources of pressure.
Developed in Unity 6, the game emphasizes visual storytelling, with a strong focus on lighting and atmosphere.
