本作以金門特有的文化與生態意象為出發，選擇具有代表性的物種「鱟」作為核心元素，並結合在地民俗符號，如虎頭牌等視覺語彙，進行圖像轉譯與紋樣設計。透過對傳統符碼的再詮釋，將其轉化為具有當代感的裝飾圖案，並延伸應用於多元媒材之中，使地方文化在現代語境下獲得新的表現形式。
在設計方法上，作品發展出一套易於操作的鱟摺型結構，透過摺紙與組構的過程，引導觀者以身體參與創作，從動手實作中理解鱟的形態特徵與生態意義。這種由觀看轉向參與的設計策略，使文化知識不再停留於視覺再現，而成為可被體驗與感知的過程。作品同時回應地方文化保存與再生的議題，透過設計轉譯與互動機制，建立觀者與在地記憶之間的連結。最終，「鱟見金門」不僅呈現一種文化符號的視覺轉化，更是一種結合教育性與參與性的設計實踐，讓文化在日常互動中持續被理解與延續。
This work reinterprets Kinmen’s cultural and ecological icons, centering on the horseshoe crab. By blending these with folk symbols like the "Tiger Head Plaque," it translates traditional motifs into contemporary patterns for diverse media. This design strategy grants local heritage a fresh expression within a modern context.
The project features an easy-to-fold structure, shifting from passive viewing to tactile participation. By assembling the model, users engage with the creature’s form and cultural meaning. This practice-based approach fosters a deeper connection to local memory and education, ensuring heritage continues through daily interaction.
