本作品以「從眾行為」為主軸,透過無台詞、純動作與意象的方式,呈現個體在群體壓力下的迷失與掙扎。藉由螞蟻群體無意識重複行動的過程,象徵現代人在社會結構中對「標準」、「服從」的無聲接受。
故事採用隱喻式敘事,將「螞蟻」作為群體機制的代表,而有螞蟻開始在眾蟻之中逐漸意識到自己的獨立性,正是對「盲目順從」的反思與對「自我意識」的追尋。
整體色調使用土黃色低飽和色系,營造壓抑、沉悶的氣氛,象徵群體生活的疲乏與機械感。角色行動緩慢、重複、受限,強化觀看時的壓力感與窒息感,使觀眾身歷其境地感受到主角的困境與掙脫過程。
透過這部作品，引發觀眾對「從眾」這個行為模式的自省。也許我們一開始只是想避免被排斥，但長期下來卻失去了方向、甚至失去了自己。這是一場關於「個體與群體的對話」，沒有語言，只有腳步，但每個腳步都在詢問——我還是我嗎？

The sound without steps

This work centers on the theme of "conformity," using no dialogue but purely movement and imagery to present the confusion and struggle of the individual under group pressure. Through the unconscious, repetitive actions of a colony of ants, it symbolizes how modern people silently accept "standards" and "obedience" within social structures.
The story employs metaphorical narrative, using "ants" to represent the mechanism of the group. One ant, however, begins to gradually become aware of its own individuality among the many—serving as both a reflection on "blind conformity" and a pursuit of "self-awareness."
