島泉間

將臺灣溫泉從觀光消費的既定印象中重新定位為可被感知的地下能源系統。臺灣位於板塊交界，孕育出多樣且差異鮮明的溫泉型態，然而其地質成因與能量特性，長期被簡化為泡湯體驗而未被深入理解。

本作品取四種代表性溫泉地質——蘇澳冷泉、北投青磺泉、關子嶺泥漿溫泉與綠島海底溫泉——作為轉譯對象，從地層裂隙、岩石紋理與流動痕跡出發，透過實地觀察與材質實驗，將泉水湧動、礦物結構與能量流動轉化為具體的造型與觸感語言。以岩石意象的手工皂為核心媒材，透過手作過程中的堆疊、刻劃與塑形，使地質紋理得以被再現與感知，並藉由色彩與表面肌理回應不同泉種的物質特性。

在使用過程中，手工皂隨時間逐漸消耗與改變，其形體的侵蝕與轉變對應地熱能量的釋放，使不可見的地下過程轉化為可被觸摸與經驗的日常片段。包裝則以開闔與翻轉構成，延伸地層能量由內向外擴散的意象，形成物件與身體之間的感知連結。

《島泉間》透過工藝媒材的轉譯與時間性的介入，將抽象的地質現象轉化為可感知的生活經驗，重新連結人與土地之間的關係，並提出工藝作為理解自然與文化的一種途徑。

Islands of Springs

This project reinterprets Taiwan’s hot springs beyond tourism, framing them as perceptible underground energy systems. Located on an active tectonic boundary, Taiwan hosts diverse geothermal formations whose geological and energetic qualities are often overlooked.

Focusing on four representative types—Su’ao Cold Spring, Beitou Green Sulfur Spring, Guanziling Mud Hot Spring, and Zhaori Seawater Hot Spring—the project translates fissures, textures, and flow into tangible forms. Stone-like handcrafted soaps serve as the core medium, their textures and colors reflecting each spring’s characteristics.

As the soaps are used, their erosion mirrors the release of geothermal energy, turning invisible processes into everyday sensory experiences. Packaging extends this through unfolding structures suggesting energy diffusing outward. The project reconnects people with the land and proposes craft as a means to experience natural phenomena daily.
