Centered on the rice culture of Chishang, this design integrates the local agricultural landscape and historical memory to create a multifunctional space combining cultural exhibition and hands-on experiences.
Using “sowing, irrigation, growth, and harvest” as the spatial narrative, visitors experience the journey of rice cultivation as they move through the space. Rice ear motifs are applied to the exterior, extending the concept into the overall visual design.
“Sowing” represents the beginning through traditional tools and spatial guidance. “Irrigation” introduces a flowing atmosphere inspired by water. “Growth” presents the different stages of rice development for learning and understanding. “Harvest” uses arched forms and interactive experiences to complete the journey.
Through this spatial translation, rice culture is not only observed but also experienced, strengthening the connection between people and the land.
