以回應東港漁市場老化與使用失衡問題為出發，本設計以地域文化重塑為主軸，融合東港漁業特色，並將具代表性的王船祭儀式流程轉化為空間序列，透過節點安排與動線鋪陳，形塑具有文化敘事性的市場場域，使傳統信仰與日常活動相互交織，強化地方識別與空間記憶。同時，透過串聯周邊設施，整合渡船頭、漁獲拍賣場與停車空間等重要節點，建立清晰且連續的人行動線系統，促進人流導入並提升整體使用效率，擴大市場與周邊環境的互動關係。
此外，藉由再造水岸環境，善用市場臨港景觀資源，規劃親水步道與開放休憩空間，導入停留與交流活動，提升公共性與場域活力，使市場不僅為交易場所，更成為結合生活、觀光與文化體驗的水岸節點。透過文化轉譯與空間整合策略，活化既有市場機能，並帶動周邊區域發展，最終形塑兼具產業運作、文化展示與休憩體驗功能的現代化水岸漁市場，進而促進地方經濟與城市意象的整體提升。

Heart of the Harbor

To address the aging facilities and imbalanced usage of the Donggang fish market, the design adopts regional cultural reinterpretation as its core strategy. By integrating local fishing culture and translating the Wang Yeh Boat Festival procession into a spatial sequence, the proposal creates a market environment with strong local identity. Surrounding facilities are connected by integrating the ferry pier and related nodes, establishing continuous circulation and enhancing spatial coherence and pedestrian flow. The waterfront environment is further revitalized by utilizing harbor views and introducing spaces for leisure and social interaction. Through cultural activation and spatial integration, the project aims to stimulate tourism and local economic growth while reshaping the market into a waterfront fish market that combines industrial function with regional character.
