In today's world, where social media thrives, many people frequently share glimpses of their lives online. However, these actions have quietly given rise to various psychological issues, like monsters lurking in people's hearts. These issues subtly influence our behavior and mindset but are hard to detect, causing us to gradually become desensitized to them.
"Monster In Heart" gathers data on these issues and, through research and analysis, designs a series of monster characters. Each monster represents a particular issue that has emerged on social media, allowing people to reflect on their inner selves through the monsters' forms and better understand the root causes of these problems.
To make these issues more accessible to the social media-savvy audience, the team has created not only books and character cards but also applied the illustrations in AR technology and social media knowledge-based posts. By scanning the images with an AR app, viewers will see animated monsters repeating the same behaviors endlessly, trapped in a cycle, much like people affected by the chaos of social media. This aims to prompt viewers to reflect on whether they too have ever been trapped in such a state.
Additionally, a series of phone pad charms, designed in the shape of magical symbols, has been created as merchandise. Each symbol includes a motto, and users can place these on the back of their phones as a constant reminder to stay vigilant and avoid falling into the traps of social media.
