《舊贖》是一款第一視角3D恐怖解謎遊戲，美術風格寫實。
元光44年，小橋村許氏夫婦早亡，留下五歲女兒許秀琴。之後她被親戚收養，親戚因貪財而將她賣給當地富豪做二房。
但在一次意外中，富豪失手奪走她的的性命，事後富豪將真相隱瞞，村子也漸漸淡忘了這件事。
多年後主角前往探望爺爺時意外看見了她的靈魂，被抓進了事發當年的小橋村。
主角一叫醒來發現自己身處異地，為了回到原本的世界，主角需要透過探索地圖的大世界玩法以及追逐戰中尋找線索。
路上會有各種驚嚇與解謎，要在陰暗狹窄的林家豪宅內躲避富豪的追殺，在夜晚陰森可怖的小橋村裡尋找線索並躲過冤魂的追擊。
透過找到的資訊與線索，拼湊並還原當年的故事真相，為救贖冤魂的靈魂找到回去現實世界的方法。
*Redemption from the Past* is a first-person 3D horror puzzle game with a realistic art style.
In the 44th year of Yuanguang, a young girl named Xu Xiuqin was orphaned at the age of five after the early passing of her parents in Xiaoqiao Village. She was taken in by relatives, but due to their greed, they sold her as a concubine to a wealthy local noble.
One day, in a tragic accident, the nobleman took her life. To cover up the truth, he concealed the incident, and over time, the villagers gradually forgot about it.
Years later, the protagonist, while visiting their grandfather, unexpectedly encounters Xiuqin’s lingering spirit and is suddenly pulled into Xiaoqiao Village on the very day the tragedy occurred.
Upon waking, the protagonist finds themselves trapped in this eerie past. To return to reality, they must explore the open-world map, gather clues during intense chase sequences, and uncover the truth behind the long-buried events.
Throughout the journey, players will experience terrifying encounters and intricate puzzles. They must evade the nobleman’s relentless pursuit within the dark, narrow halls of the Lin family mansion and navigate the ghostly, fearsome Xiaoqiao Village at night, all while escaping vengeful spirits.
By piecing together scattered information and uncovering hidden clues, the protagonist must reconstruct the past, reveal the truth, and ultimately find a way to redeem the tormented soul—unlocking the path back to the real world.
