Vtuber 的類型多元且豐富，涵蓋個人勢、企業勢，並延伸至歌手、遊戲實況主、談話節目主持人等不同領域。但市面上的 Vtuber 形象美術風格仍以日系為主流，其精緻的二次元風格深受大眾喜愛，也導致市場趨於單一。我們希望透過不同的畫風進入市場，讓更多人認識到 Vtuber 不僅限於日系風格，還能有更多可能性與創新表現。
本專題旨在探索非日系畫風的 Vtuber 角色設計，並透過獨特的視覺表現與世界觀塑造，打造具有個性與辨識度的虛擬偶像。我們希望藉此開拓 Vtuber 市場的多樣性，吸引更多觀眾關注不同風格的虛擬角色，並為虛擬偶像產業帶來更多元的發展方向。以修女和惡魔為核心，吸引喜愛黑暗奇幻、哥德美學，以及對哲學思辨感興趣的受眾。非日系畫風讓你的角色在以萌系、偶像風格為主的 Vtuber 市場中能夠引起觀眾的印象深刻，吸引願意嘗試不同視覺體驗的觀眾。
In recent years, the rise of VTubers has reshaped the entertainment industry. The earliest virtual idol can be traced back to Hatsune Miku, but with advancements in technology and the growing popularity of live streaming, VTubers have evolved beyond simple entertainment. They now provide companionship and emotional support and have become powerful tools for brand marketing, education, and even social interaction.
VTubers come in a variety of forms, ranging from independent creators to corporate-backed talents, covering roles such as singers, game streamers, and talk show hosts. Despite this diversity, most VTuber character designs still follow a predominantly Japanese anime-inspired aesthetic. While this polished style is widely loved, it has led to a somewhat homogeneous market, limiting the range of artistic expression. We aim to challenge this norm by introducing a different visual approach, proving that VTubers are not confined to anime-style aesthetics but can explore new artistic directions.
This project focuses on designing VTuber characters with a non-Japanese art style, emphasizing unique visual representation and worldbuilding to create virtual idols with strong personalities and distinct identities. By incorporating themes of nuns and demons, we aim to attract fans of dark fantasy, gothic aesthetics, and philosophical storytelling. A non-anime approach will help our VTuber stand out in a market dominated by cute and idol-like designs, drawing in audiences who appreciate fresh and visually striking experiences.
Beyond aesthetics, we believe that VTubers can serve as a medium for deeper narratives and thought-provoking themes. Through innovative character design and engaging storytelling, our project seeks to expand the diversity of the VTuber industry, encouraging more people to explore alternative artistic styles and pushing the boundaries of what a VTuber can be. By doing so, we hope to not only create a unique virtual idol but also inspire a new wave of creativity in the VTuber community.
