設計動機
早期的人們會齊聚一堂看電影，享受著電影所帶來的快樂及悲傷，分享對彼此所擁有的感受。
但隨著時代的進步，人們幾乎都人手一台手機，人與人之間的距離也無形之間逐漸疏遠，每個人都活成了一座孤島。
設計目的
為了補足在屏東市區內閱讀及學習空間的場域不足，我們希望藉由設計手法賦予國寶影城新的生命，除了多了更多可以與周遭居民互動的機會，讓更多的人可以在此相聚，也讓停滯在此處的時光在此流動，寫下新的篇章以及回憶
書店不僅只是提供學童一個閱讀及學習的空間，更可以讓周遭的居民可以在這個場域中進行交流以及互動，讓原本已經僵化的人際關係再重新聯繫起來。
設計策略
1.對於建築主體
打破傳統四周皆為高聳的水泥牆，用空間之間的虛實交錯
讓身處於內部的人及建築本身可以呼吸
2.保留國賓所擁有的人文價值，延續電影本身的文學價值
使閒置的空間再次活化及利用
3.對於空間
利用虛實交錯的空間，創造出可以交流情感的空間。活化人與人逐漸冷漠的關係
Design Motivation
In the past, people would gather together to watch movies, sharing the joy and sadness that films brought, and connecting through their shared emotions. However, with the progress of time, nearly everyone now carries a mobile phone, and the distance between people has gradually widened, often without us even realizing it. Each person has become an isolated island.
Design Purpose
To address the lack of reading and learning spaces in the Pingtung city area, we aim to breathe new life into the National Treasure Cinema through design. Beyond offering more opportunities for interaction with local residents, we hope to create a space where people can gather, and where time, which has stagnated here, can flow again—writing new chapters and memories.
The bookstore will not only provide a space for children to read and learn but also serve as a place for local residents to engage and interact, reconnecting interpersonal relationships that have become rigid over time.
Design Strategy
For the Building
Break away from traditional, towering concrete walls, and use the interplay of void and solid space to allow both the people inside and the building itself to breathe.
Preserve the Cultural Value of the National Treasure Cinema
Maintain the cultural heritage of the National Treasure Cinema and continue the literary value of the films themselves, revitalizing and repurposing the idle space.
For the Space
Use the interplay of solid and void spaces to create areas where people can connect emotionally, rekindling the relationships that have become increasingly distant.
