This design takes an abandoned urban corner as its base, addressing issues such as the lack of functional value in idle spaces and insufficient community interaction, and proposes a “regenerative shared space” concept. By integrating diverse functions like community interaction, greenery, artistic performances, and leisure, the project revitalizes the abandoned space with new life and value. An open circulation connects performance areas, workshops, seating zones, and green spaces, providing flexible spaces for daily gatherings, art events, craft workshops, and markets, thereby fostering community interaction and strengthening local bonds. Vertical greenery, planting zones, and natural lighting are introduced to create a friendly, comfortable, and ecologically conscious environment, increasing the coverage of urban green spaces. The design preserves parts of the original structure and traces of the past, combined with lightweight modern structures and modular furniture, forming a unique atmosphere that merges the old with the new, evoking site memory while envisioning the future. Through space revitalization, the project enhances residents’ participation and sense of belonging, transforming the abandoned site into a daily shared space for art, communication, and relaxation, reactivating urban edges and extending new value to city spaces.
