外來物種入侵已成為全球性環境問題，台灣亦面臨多種外來物種帶來的威脅，這些物種多因人類活動被引入，進一步破壞本土生態平衡，不僅影響生物多樣性與生態穩定性，亦對本土經濟構成嚴重挑戰，例如，農業、漁業及觀光業因外來物種的擴散而受損失，農作物被啃食、魚類資源被掠奪，如何幫助兒童理解這一議題，並以負責任的態度應對挑戰，成為環境教育的關鍵課題，希望提供易於理解的教育工具，增強兒童對外來物種問題的關注
與同理心，同時，透過故事情節與角色互動，幫助他們深入理解外來物種入侵的危機，並激發提出創 新 解決方案的能力。
「入侵異視界」以外來物種入侵對台灣生態與經濟的影響為設計核心，致力於透過寓教於樂的方式提升兒童對環境與經濟議題的關注，產品結合繪本、互動六面體與場域地形圖，並融入擴增實境 AR 技術，提供創新的學習體驗，設計採用以兒童友好的形式，將抽象且複雜的生態與經濟問題轉化為生動易懂的故事與互動內容，在趣味與教育並重的基礎上，向兒童傳遞外來物種的影響及生態保護的知識，並幫助他們認識外來物種對本土經濟的威脅，激發學習興趣，進一步培養環保責任感與行動力。
Invasive species have become a global environmental issue, and Taiwan is also facing threats from various non-native species. These species are often introduced through human activities, further disrupting the ecological balance. Their presence not only affects biodiversity and ecological stability but also poses significant challenges to the local economy. Sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, and tourism suffer due to the spread of invasive species—crops are eaten, fishery resources are depleted, and economic losses accumulate.
Helping children understand this issue and encouraging them to respond with a responsible attitude has become a key topic in environmental education. There is a need for educational tools that make the subject easy to grasp, enhance children’s awareness and empathy regarding invasive species, and engage them through storytelling and character interactions. By presenting the crisis of invasive species in an accessible way, children can gain deeper insights into the problem and be inspired to develop innovative solutions.
"Invasion of a Different World" is designed with the impact of invasive species on Taiwan’s ecology and economy as its core theme. The project aims to raise children's awareness of environmental and economic issues through an entertaining yet educational approach. The product combines a storybook, interactive six-sided cubes, and a terrain map, integrating augmented reality (AR) technology to create an innovative learning experience.
The design adopts a child-friendly approach, transforming abstract and complex ecological and economic issues into engaging and easily understandable stories and interactive content. By balancing fun and education, the project conveys knowledge about invasive species and ecological protection. It also helps children recognize the economic threats posed by invasive species, stimulating their interest in learning while fostering a sense of environmental responsibility and action.
