Genesis • Insect Atlas

Genesis • Insect Atlas

My design is not just jewelry; it is a visual narrative of future biology and environmental issues. Each ring serves as a response to the plastic crisis, a visual metaphor for these challenges.

One day, will these insects further dominate the ecosystem, transforming Earth into an entirely new world—one of non-organic life?

Is this adaptation or reinvention? In this world, insects no longer rely on flowers, leaves, or soil. Instead, they build a new ecological order with plastic as their foundation. Is this evolution or extinction?

These creatures have adapted to the plastic-filled world left behind by humans, forming a new food chain. Yet, as they begin to compete, as plastic becomes the sole condition for survival, does this signify that Earth can never return to its natural state?

Or perhaps, this is simply the next step in evolution—the dawn of the Plastic Insect Age?
