主題理念
聽障者因聽覺障礙在社會上時常處於劣勢，且可能伴隨口語表達上的挑戰。然而，溝通並非僅限於語言，手語與其他感知能力同樣能傳遞訊息。因此，我們希望透過「聲潛—無聲體驗餐廳」，讓一般人親身體驗無聲的世界，感受視覺、觸覺、嗅覺與味覺的強化，進而理解聾人文化的特殊性與魅力。
餐廳的設計以逐步剝奪聲音為核心，並透過光線變化與建築材質的選用，引導來訪者專注於非語言的感官溝通。在缺少聽覺的情境下，視覺、觸覺、嗅覺與味覺將被放大，使體驗者能更深入地感受聽障者的世界。
基地環境分析
餐廳選址於台中市南屯區公益路華美街348巷，該地區為繁華都市，節奏快速。我們希望在這樣的環境中營造一處寧靜空間，讓顧客放慢步調，透過四感體驗無聲交流的可能性。
建築設計靈感來自耳朵的形狀，簡化為圓形，以擴展視野，使顧客與服務人員能夠清楚彼此的互動。餐廳位於地平面下，隔絕外界喧囂，並引入流水元素，創造白噪音，營造如同水下無聲交談的氛圍。
透過這樣的設計，我們期望提升社會對聾人文化的認識，促進共融，並讓每位來訪者透過「無聲」，感受更豐富的世界。

Theme Concept
People with hearing impairments are often at a disadvantage in society due to their hearing impairments, and may also face challenges in oral expression. However, communication is not limited to language; sign language and other sensory abilities can also convey messages. Therefore, we hope that through "Sound Diving - Silent Experience Restaurant", ordinary people can experience the silent world firsthand, feel the enhancement of vision, touch, smell and taste, and then understand the uniqueness and charm of deaf culture.
The design of the restaurant is centered on the gradual deprivation of sound, and through the changes in light and the selection of building materials, it guides visitors to focus on non-verbal sensory communication. In the absence of hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste will be amplified, allowing the experiencer to feel the world of the hearing impaired more deeply.
Base environment analysis
The restaurant is located at Lane 348, Huamei Street, Gongyi Road, Nantun District, Taichung City. The area is a bustling city with a fast pace. We hope to create a quiet space in such an environment, allowing customers to slow down and experience the possibility of silent communication through their four senses.
The architectural design is inspired by the shape of an ear, simplified into a circle to expand the field of vision and allow customers and service staff to clearly interact with each other. The restaurant is located below ground level, isolated from the outside noise, and introduces flowing water elements to create white noise, creating an atmosphere like a silent conversation underwater.
Through this design, we hope to enhance society’s understanding of deaf culture, promote inclusion, and allow every visitor to experience a richer world through “silence”.
