未確認生物:人形蛙

UMA為未確認生物（Unidentified Mysterious Animal）的縮寫，意指流傳於民俗傳說、都市傳聞與各種目擊敘述中的神秘生物實體。這些存在往往介於真實與虛構之間，缺乏明確證據，卻因為口耳相傳而持續被想像與再詮釋。也正因為其不確定性與高度想像空間，使UMA成為創作中極具延展性的題材來源。
在眾多UMA形象中，我選擇了Loveland Frogman作為創作的核心發想對象。此角色本身在外觀與背景敘述上皆充滿模糊與留白，既有人形輪廓，又帶有明顯的兩棲動物特徵，形成一種曖昧且不穩定的存在狀態。這種不確定性不僅增加了其神秘感，也提供了更多詮釋與再創造的可能。
在本次創作中，我進一步延伸其設定，將其重新想像為一種並非單純野生動物的存在，而是一種與人類在演化路徑上產生趨同關係的類人物種。透過這樣的轉化，試圖探討人類與非人之間的界線，以及生物形態與文明發展之間的潛在關聯，使原本屬於傳說的形象，轉化為具有思辨性的當代創作主體。

UMA:Frogman

UMA (Unidentified Mysterious Animal) refers to entities from folklore and urban legends. Existing between reality and fiction, these beings lack evidence but persist through oral tradition. Their ambiguity makes them a rich source for creative exploration.

I selected the Loveland Frogman as my subject. Defined by its fragmented history and unstable identity, this creature blends humanoid proportions with amphibian traits. This anatomical uncertainty allows for significant artistic reinterpretation.

In this work, I reimagine the Frogman not as a wild monster, but as a species that underwent convergent evolution alongside humans. I aim to probe the boundaries between human and "other," examining how biological form influences civilization. Thus, a folkloric figure becomes a subject of modern, speculative inquiry regarding the nature of existence.
