在當前高齡化社會的背景下,年長者隨年齡增長而面臨行動能力逐漸下降的困境,這不僅導致體力衰退,更直接影響了他們帶寵物外出遛狗的意願與頻率,進而引發日常運動量不足及社交孤立等連帶健康問題,因此本設計核心理念旨在打破這種負面循環,透過科技輔助將傳統助行設備轉化為極具人性化的智慧夥伴。我們深入洞察長者拄杖遛狗時可能遇到的突發拉扯與平衡失控風險,因此設計了具備張力緩衝功能的牽繩控制系統,能有效抵銷犬隻暴衝的力道,並結合輕量化且跳脫傳統醫療器材外型的結構設計,確保長者在行走過程中能獲得穩定的支撐。此外,考量到戶外環境的不可控性,整體裝置更整合了緊急求助設備,從心理與生理層面同步提升長者的安全感,讓遛狗不再是充滿負擔的體力挑戰,而是能促進身心健康、增進生活品質。
In an aging society, declining mobility often discourages seniors from walking their dogs, triggering a negative cycle of physical frailty and social isolation. Our design breaks this loop by transforming traditional walking aids into empathetic smart companions. By addressing the risks of sudden lunging and loss of balance, we developed an integrated tension-buffer leash system that effectively offsets a dog’s impact to ensure stability. The lightweight, non-medical aesthetic moves away from a "clinical" look, while an integrated emergency assistance system addresses outdoor unpredictability. By enhancing both physical safety and psychological confidence, this device turns dog walking from a physical burden into a joyful activity that promotes health and overall quality of life.
