木與生 瀕危

本作品以環境議題為核心，探討全球暖化與海洋污染對生態所造成的影響，並以北極熊與海豚作為主要象徵。北極熊代表極地環境，海豚象徵海洋生命，兩者同時面臨棲地破壞與生存危機，藉由並置呈現地球整體生態系統的失衡狀態。

在造型上，作品採用幾何切面與碎裂結構進行設計，將動物形象抽象化，強調「破碎」與「不穩定」的視覺語彙。北極熊以抬頭與前傾姿態呈現，象徵在惡劣環境中的掙扎與求救；海豚則以躍出水面的動作表現生命的最後掙扎，兩者共同傳達無聲卻強烈的求救訊息。

底座設計為圓形，象徵地球整體，並透過層板堆疊與裂縫處理，營造出地殼破裂與冰層崩解的意象。裂縫中結合透明材質，暗示冰川融化與海洋流動，使作品在材質與形式上形成對比，進一步強化議題表達。

本創作以木雕為主要媒材，結合拼接、雕刻與表面處理等技法，使材料本身成為敘事的一部分。透過抽象造型與材質語言的運用，期望引發觀者對環境議題的關注與反思，重新思考人類與自然之間的關係。

Trees and Life Are Endangered

This work explores environmental issues, particularly global warming and ocean pollution, through the use of symbolic animal forms. The polar bear and the dolphin are chosen as the main subjects, representing the Arctic and marine ecosystems respectively. Both species are facing serious threats due to habitat loss and climate change, and their coexistence in the same composition reflects the interconnected crisis of the Earth’s ecological system.

In terms of form, the sculpture adopts a fragmented, geometric style to convey a sense of instability and destruction. The polar bear is depicted in a struggling posture, slightly leaning forward with its head raised, suggesting a silent cry for survival. The dolphin is shown in an upward motion, as if leaping out of the water, yet trapped within a broken environment. These dynamic gestures aim to express urgency and emotional tension without relying on realistic details.
