Is pressure a source of support, or a burden to us?
This work explores overlooked pressures in daily life that affect physical and emotional states before being recognized. Balloons are used as a medium to transform pressure—through inflation, expansion, and deformation—making it “perceived,” “understood,” and prompting “reflection.”
Pressure often exists in a vague and intangible form, making it difficult to notice or express. When ignored, it may lead to emotional imbalance. This work suggests that pressure is not inherently negative, but depends on how we perceive it.
The installation includes a “Story Exchange Box,” a “Pressure Guidebook,” and a “Listening Room,” guiding participants through “selection,” “exploration,” and “listening” to re-examine their experiences. When another person’s story overlaps with your own, you may rediscover a long-overlooked emotion.
