It features an auxetic structure based on a negative Poisson’s ratio, allowing the material to expand and contract simultaneously under force. This provides soft, adaptive feedback and helps distribute pressure during chewing, reducing stress on teeth and gums. The opening and closing pores also enhance interaction and support oral cleaning, enabling safe use even with reduced bite strength.

The design addresses three common aging issues. For visual decline, scent-guided features assist spatial awareness and reduce anxiety. For cognitive decline, a modular system offers progressive interaction levels to stimulate mental activity. For joint degeneration, a suction-based base allows proper positioning, minimizing strain on the neck and forelimbs.
