STEAM 齒輪火車|把「齒輪」變成軌道的動態玩具
多數火車玩具採固定軌道設計,玩法單一,孩子容易在短時間內失去興趣;而市面上的益智桌遊又多需多人參與,難以滿足單人長時間專注遊玩的需求。
本設計將「齒輪」重新定義為軌道本身。透過不同尺寸齒輪的咬合,孩子可以自由拼組出變化多端的路徑,並將磁吸式火車放置於齒輪內圈或外圈行駛。
當手搖把手啟動時,整組齒輪系統會產生連動,帶動火車同步移動。這種「一處施力、整體回應」的機械回饋,使孩子能直觀理解傳動關係,也大幅提升操作的成就感。
在遊玩過程中,若出現卡頓或運轉失效,孩子需主動調整齒輪配置,進入反覆試錯的過程,進而培養邏輯推理與問題解決能力。
此教具具備跨年齡的學習彈性:低年齡可進行基礎拼接與感官探索,高年齡則可進一步理解齒輪比與動力傳遞,讓同一套系統隨著認知發展持續深化使用價值。

Most train toys rely on fixed tracks, limiting variation and long-term engagement. In contrast, the STEAM Gear Train transforms gears into the track itself, allowing children to freely build dynamic pathways by combining gears of different sizes.
A magnetically connected train can move along the inner or outer edges of the gears. When the hand crank is turned, the entire system moves in synchrony, creating a “single input, system-wide response.” This immediate feedback helps children intuitively understand mechanical transmission.
Through trial and error, children adjust configurations when the system fails, developing logical thinking and problem-solving skills. Designed for different age groups, the system supports both basic play and more complex exploration, making it a scalable and engaging learning tool.
