一場關於演進的消逝 - 阿根納遺址再造計畫

後記憶 ── 一段非親身經歷，卻透過媒介所生成、並帶有真實情感的記憶。

位於基隆正濱漁港的阿根納，歷經多次且短暫的身分轉換，從興建、閒置到再利用，其歷史並非線性延續，而是斷裂與片段。這樣破碎且不連貫的背景，使其在被認定為歷史建築的過程中困難重重。直到2016年因遭業者拆除，才被緊急列為暫定古蹟，最終轉為歷史建築。

這樣的案例，在這座擁有豐富歷史的小島上並不罕見，也倒出一個問題：在「保護」與「破壞」的選項之外，是否存在另一種關於記憶的保存方式？

透過為阿根納蓋上巨大的蓋子，藉由風，使再造的同時達到破壞，讓廢墟變得可控。透過空間、媒介引導，人們在這裡想像出未曾體驗、但情感真實的［後記憶］。

而當有形之物消逝，阿根納將在不斷互相產生的後記憶中持續存在、演進。

Postmemory — a memory not personally experienced, yet constructed through mediation and imbued with real emotion.

Argenna, located at Zhengbin Fishing Harbor in Keelung, embodies a fragmented history of construction, abandonment, and reuse. Its discontinuous past has made its recognition as a historic building uncertain, only formalized after partial demolition in 2016.

This raises a question: beyond preservation and destruction, is there another way to sustain memory?

By placing a massive lid over Argenna, wind becomes a medium through which reconstruction and destruction occur simultaneously, rendering the ruin controllable. Through spatial and mediated guidance, visitors construct postmemories—never experienced, yet emotionally real.

As the physical fades, Argenna persists and evolves through the continuous generation of postmemory.
