This project is based on the concept of “Co-integration – Co-learning,” proposing an intergenerational community day-care center that responds to an aging society and generational gaps. It combines elderly day care, children’s activities, and shared community spaces to encourage interaction and build a supportive environment.
The layout uses open and semi-open circulation to connect care areas, children’s zones, and co-learning spaces, allowing natural encounters. Visual permeability, scale transitions, and buffer spaces balance safety, privacy, and connection. Outdoor areas include shared courtyards and healing gardens for rehabilitation, play, and rest.
The architecture emphasizes a human-centered scale and warm materials to create a home-like atmosphere, reducing institutional feelings. Natural light and ventilation improve comfort and health. The design aims to break age boundaries and foster everyday interaction, creating a community for mutual support and shared growth.
