◎設計背景
全球僅剩七種海龜,有六種已瀕危滅絕,若海龜消失將會造成生態失衡,但現今海龜產卵地的細沙正在嚴重流失,而人們為了保護沙灘開始大量設置消波塊,這卻造成海龜的死亡,或阻擋牠們前往適合的產卵地。剛孵化的海龜需依靠海岸的自然光線且消波塊還會阻擋海岸的自然光線,導致剛孵化的小海龜迷失方向
◎設計理念
STT海龜消波塊為一款能讓海龜輕鬆通過的消波塊,底部有通道設計,使海龜能順利前往產卵地。剛孵化的小海龜依賴海平線亮度辨別方向,但傳統消波塊遮蔽光線,易使其迷失並增加死亡風險。海龜消波塊仿生孔雀發光方式,混入回收玻璃,反射光線,引導小海龜回到大海。海龜消波塊仿生礁石設計利於生物附著,能作為生態礁使用,利於生態復甦。且海龜消波塊仿生北極熊足墊,在底部有多邊凸起結構,使其可應重量而沒入沙土中,從而有效提升抓地力。
STT Sea Turtle Tetrapod is a wave-dissipating block designed to allow sea turtles to pass through easily. Its base features a built-in passage, enabling turtles to safely reach nesting areas. Newly hatched sea turtles rely on the brightness of the horizon to navigate, but traditional tetrapods often block light, increasing the risk of disorientation and mortality.
STT incorporates a biomimetic glow inspired by peacocks, embedding recycled glass to reflect light and guide hatchlings toward the ocean. Its reef-like structure supports marine organism attachment, functioning as an artificial reef that promotes ecological restoration. Additionally, inspired by polar bear paw pads, the base features multi-protrusion textures that sink into sand under weight, enhancing stability and grip.
