Mimi Maomao

Mimi Maomao

Migan is a traditional Yunnan rice noodle made from steamed rice slurry. In Taiwan's Longgang, its popularity has shaped a vibrant local food culture. Exploring Zhongzhen New Village reveals that Migan is more than a daily staple; it is a vital vessel for the nostalgia of Yunnan immigrants.
To promote this heritage, "Mimi Maomao" blends the traditional "Wamao" (tile cat) with modern design to elevate product value and enter retail channels. The product line covers meals, side dishes, and snacks: Migan uses dimensional paper boxes for shelf visibility; canned side dishes feature 3D-labeled seals; and the "Mi-Migan" snack uses a combo box to entice buyers.
Inspired by vibrant Yunnan ethnic attire, the Wamao IP integrates storytelling, structural design, and exhibitions into a unified brand experience, empowering traditional flavors with modern commercial vitality.
