山海之門，南方之翼

屏東即將迎來高鐵站，不僅提升了南台灣的交通連結，也為屏東地區開啟了嶄新的可能性。然而，高鐵站不應只是冰冷的交通設施，應成為南臺灣的新門戶，也象徵交通與城市發展的重要轉折點。
本設計的主要目的在於打造一個兼具交通、旅客體驗與地方特色的地標性公共建築物。高鐵站不應僅作為交通轉運節點，更應成為一個能讓人願意停留的公共空間，進一步帶動經濟發展與城市活力，並以「新門戶、交通樞紐、地方活力」為核心設計概念，將屏東南方的自然地景轉化為高鐵站的建築語彙，將在地特色融入其中，讓空間不只是單純的交通轉運功能，更是與在地文化共存的生活場域。
建築整體造型由「珊瑚礁岩、風、山、海」為發想，藉由連續起伏的白色流線曲面構成，並融合季節性吹拂的落山風，共同塑造出如同被風與海流長時間雕琢的珊瑚礁岩造型，呈現具有動態感的結構美感。屋頂與立面開設不規則的流線孔洞，象徵珊瑚礁孔隙中的生態空間，使光線、空氣與人流可以穿梭，營造具有「呼吸感」的公共場域。

Gate to Mountains and Seas, Wings of the South

Pingtung’s upcoming high-speed rail station is envisioned as more than a transportation facility; it serves as a new gateway to southern Taiwan and a catalyst for urban transformation. The project proposes a landmark architecture that integrates transportation efficiency, passenger experience, and local identity, redefining the station as a public space where people can gather and linger, enhancing urban vitality.
Guided by the concept of “new gateway, transportation hub, and local vitality,” the design translates the natural landscape of southern Pingtung into architectural language. Inspired by coral reef, wind, mountain, and sea, the building is shaped by flowing, undulating curves that reflect natural forces.
Irregular openings in the roof and façade reinterpret coral reef porosity, allowing light, air, and movement to pass through, creating a “breathing” architecture that connects nature, infrastructure, and public life.
