This project takes the five elements—metal, wood, water, fire, and earth—as its starting point, transforming their pictographic characters into modular strokes and forms for recombination. These modules form an interactive text-generation system. Using transparent blocks and stamp-like operations, users assemble and arrange elements to create new textual forms, shifting writing from fixed conventions to an open visual process.
The work combines geometric structures with natural imagery, retaining cultural references while enhancing visual engagement. Through layering and imprinting, the results suggest temporality and trace, reflecting the evolution of language. By blurring the boundary between writing and image, it reconsiders text as both communication and visual expression.
