Bookworm

Bookworm

In the past, reading was the best path to knowledge. However, in this fast-paced modern society, those who still take their time with reading seem to carry a stubbornness, unwilling to change.
But from my perspective, it is reading that allows us to reflect on where we are now and rediscover our connection with the world.
The core of this collection is to change the public’s recognition of the word "bookworm." Through the patchwork of various colors, textures, and patterned fabrics, the collection illustrates how reading reconstructs the world for the readers, while tuck pleats and book-page prints are used to evoke the form of a book. The overall visual style retains subtle "nerdy" elements—such as plaid patterns, thick-rimmed glasses, and intentional mix-and-match separates. These elements are combined with streetwear-inspired oversized silhouettes and vibrant colors, in order to reimagine the “bookworm” beyond all stereotypes.
