This project is centered on traditional shadow puppetry, combining innovative design and interactive experiences to reinterpret a folk art that has gradually faded from everyday life. By adopting a contemporary approach, it aims to make the art form visible again and relevant to a new generation.
The design integrates stage structures, transformable puppets, picture-book storytelling, and immersive backgrounds to create an interactive shadow theater that is both playful and educational. Users can freely arrange characters and stories to create their own narratives, guided by “The Journey of the Little Black Bear” to inspire imagination.
Emphasizing the fusion of tradition and innovation, the design preserves the unique effects of light and shadow while incorporating modern elements, allowing children to engage with culture through play and carry forward the spirit of shadow puppetry.
