This project reinterprets the traditional sky lantern by integrating hot air balloon principles with modern engineering design. A four-point independent burner system is developed at the base to create differential heat distribution, enabling basic directional control during flight. This allows the lantern to move toward a designated recovery zone, improving retrieval efficiency and reducing environmental impact caused by uncontrolled drifting. At the same time, the design preserves the cultural ritual of writing wishes and ignition, maintaining emotional and experiential value. The structure adopts a lightweight frame with modular burner units to ensure stability, safety, and ease of maintenance. Visualization combines 3D modeling and AI-assisted rendering, enhancing both realism and presentation quality.
