As climate change intensifies extreme rainfall, flooding is becoming an increasingly common challenge. Wheelchair users, who lose essential mobility in water, are among the most affected. AQUIV, an adaptive personal mobility solution built on SDG 13.1, integrates amphibious adaptability to ensure seamless transition from land to water. Designed for both everyday accessibility and emergency preparedness, it supports flood self-rescue, aquatic rehabilitation, and expanded mobility in water environments, envisioning a future where individuals with limited mobility can navigate water with greater ease and autonomy.
