本研究創作《DarkHero》是一款以街頭風格的世界為主題的 2D 類銀河惡魔城動作冒險遊戲,由架空的世界觀、單線式的劇情發展及多元的關卡組成。此研究創作的重點為:在提升遊戲難度且兼顧遊戲性平衡的基礎上,遊戲內增添了多種敵人及攻擊手段,多關卡房間的設計及些許的跑酷元素在內,打造出接近於類魂系遊戲難度,考驗玩家的操作。參考了市面上諸多類型的遊戲,團隊起初的設定是以空洞騎士和死亡細胞等高難度的平面動作冒險遊戲去做出發,同時希望玩家能獲得更好的遊戲體驗,享受遊戲的打擊快感。此研究作品具街頭且怪異的世界觀設定及不同特色的角色,透過美術打造出的現實世界融入怪異元素營造特殊的世界背景,加入多關卡的設定玩法結合而出。
The research creation DarkHero is a 2D Metroidvania-style action-adventure game set in a world with a street-style aesthetic. It features a fictional world, a linear storyline, and diverse levels.
The focus of this research creation is to enhance the game's difficulty while maintaining gameplay balance. To achieve this, various enemy types and attack mechanics have been incorporated, along with multi-room level designs and some parkour elements, creating a challenge similar to Souls-like games that test the player’s skills.
The development team took inspiration from various existing games, initially drawing from high-difficulty side-scrolling action-adventure titles such as Hollow Knight and Dead Cells. The goal was to provide players with a satisfying combat experience and an overall improved gaming experience.
This research project presents a world with a street-style yet eerie atmosphere, featuring unique characters with distinct traits. The game's art blends elements of reality with bizarre themes to create a distinctive setting. Additionally, the integration of multi-stage levels enhances the gameplay experience.
