想一窺失智症患者的生活樣貌與內心世界嗎？《無法忘懷的回憶》是一款 VR/MR沉浸式體驗，透過虛實交錯的互動設計，讓照護者親身體驗失智症長者的困境，學習非藥物治療方法，深入理解患者世界，讓理解成為照護的起點。整個體驗流程會由MR到VR再回到MR，MR的部分反映主角內心想法的實體空間，VR則作為體現主角現實生活的虛擬空間，這種關係在虛擬與現實之間產生了微妙的相互作用，導致了複雜而混亂的空間概念，就像失智症患者的記憶一樣，雖然內容從未明確提及主角患有失智症，但玩家也能透過體驗患者的經歷拼湊出症狀，從而促進對患有這種疾病的人更深入的理解和同情。此外，體驗中也融入 非藥物治療方法，體驗者可透過簡單的互動遊戲，如回憶舊物、日常家務、生理狀況等方式，學習如何協助患者維持記憶與延緩病症，我們希望能透過這款體驗，幫助更多人以同理心關懷失智症患者與家庭。

The Memory

The Memory" is a VR/MR immersive experience designed to offer caregivers a glimpse into the lives and inner worlds of dementia patients. Through a seamless blend of virtual and physical interactions, this experience helps participants understand the challenges faced by elderly individuals with dementia while introducing non-pharmacological treatment methods. By fostering empathy and deeper understanding, we aim to make comprehension the foundation of caregiving.

The experience transitions from MR to VR and back to MR. The MR segments represent the protagonist’s inner thoughts in a physical space, while the VR segments portray their real-life surroundings. This dynamic interaction between virtual and real spaces creates a subtle yet intricate interplay, mirroring the fragmented and disoriented nature of dementia patients’ memories. Although the protagonist’s condition is never explicitly stated, players will gradually piece together the symptoms through their experiences, encouraging a more profound sense of empathy.

Additionally, the experience incorporates non-pharmacological treatment methods, allowing participants to engage in interactive activities such as recalling past objects, performing daily household tasks, and monitoring physical well-being. These activities serve as tools for learning how to support dementia patients in preserving memory and slowing cognitive decline.

Through this experience, we hope to inspire more people to care for dementia patients and their families with empathy and understanding.
