Story Background:
In a mysterious art museum, players take on the roles of either painting restorers and security guards protecting famous artworks or notorious art thieves and graffiti artists seeking to destroy them. A grand battle of attackers and defenders unfolds around the world’s most celebrated paintings!
Design Concept:
In Taiwan, the urban landscape is filled with chaotic signs, diverse architectural styles, and "city beautification" projects that often ruin the view of the street view. Growing up in such an environment, we have become accustomed to prioritizing high saturation and brightness in visuals, gradually accepting Taiwan’s unique aesthetic of beauty through conflict.
The inspiration behind this educational board game is to enhance public awareness of color harmony. We have reinterpreted 12 world-famous paintings using geometric abstraction, allowing players to restore missing colors by filling in shapes. Based on the Itten Color Wheel, which consists of primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, players will learn to mix primary colors to create secondary and tertiary hues.
Through gameplay, they will gradually understand color blending, harmony, and complementary colors. For character design, we have drawn inspiration from American-style aesthetics while incorporating our own artistic touch to bring out each character’s personality and charm, immersing players in this intense battle. Additionally, each painting board includes relevant knowledge to help players develop a deeper appreciation of the sense of art and beauty.
We hope this carefully crafted board game becomes a gateway for players to explore the fascinating world of art, and redefine the word “beautiful”.
