在現代食品工業中,食品添加物的使用已成為不可或缺的一部分,它們能延長食品的保存期限、提升風味與外觀。隨著食品安全意識的提升,許多消費者對食品添加物充滿疑惑與不安,現有包裝上的資訊往往過於簡略或使用過於技術化的語言,難以讓人理解其作用與價值。
為了讓學童從小培養對食品添加物的認識,我們設計了一套教具,包含書冊及食品盒,幫助他們了解每種添加物的功能及其對食品的影響,依照不同功能和特性,我們將食品添加物分成「保存性、加工性、感官性、結構性、特殊功能」五大類,並依據其作用設計創新的圖示與貼紙。教具結合貼紙與撕拉卡作為互動載體,學童可透過撕拉卡揭示食品所含的添加物有哪些,並將相對應的貼紙貼在盒子外側,不僅有助於培養理性判斷的能力,也能提升學童的參與感與趣味性。
In modern food industries, the use of food additives has become an essential part of production. They help extend shelf life, enhance flavor, and improve appearance. However, as food safety awareness increases, many consumers have concerns and doubts about food additives. The information on packaging is often too simplified or overly technical, making it difficult for people to understand their functions and value.
To help children develop an understanding of food additives from an early age, we designed an educational tool that includes a booklet and a food box. This tool helps them learn about the functions of different additives and their effects on food. Based on their functions and characteristics, we categorize food additives into five groups: preservative, processing, sensory, structural, and special function additives. Additionally, we designed innovative icons and stickers to visually represent their roles.
The educational tool incorporates stickers and peel-off cards as interactive elements. Children can use the peel-off cards to reveal which additives are present in the food and place the corresponding stickers on the outside of the box. This approach not only fosters rational judgment skills but also enhances engagement and enjoyment in the learning process.
