在工藝技法上，我們運用CNC準確加工，確保每一片材料切割精準，降低人力成本。巢箱外型橫看如橡果圓潤飽滿，代入藉著動物傳播、繁殖之意，期望山麻雀能在臺灣遍地開花，側看則如山麻雀靜立枝頭，流暢的曲線使作品自然融入環境，形成視覺與自然的和諧共鳴。

組裝設計採用插銷結構，使巢箱能輕鬆對位與組裝，提供參與者親手完成作品的滿足感，也讓維修更為便捷。巢箱表面施以塗裝，保護木材免於白化與發霉，同時提升整體質感與耐久度，圓潤外型與擴大的排水孔設計，確保內部乾燥舒適。

A Nest Box for Russet Sparrows: Crafting Harmony with Nature

This nest box blends craftsmanship and ecological conservation, symbolizing the Russet Sparrow’s connection with nature. Made from locally sourced Cryptomeria japonica, the material offers exceptional durability, pest resistance, and nail-holding capacity. At the end of its lifecycle, the wood naturally decomposes, returning to the earth and embodying sustainability.

Precision CNC machining ensures accurate cuts, reducing labor costs and material waste. The nest box's shape resembles a plump acorn from the front, symbolizing growth and the hope that Russet Sparrows will flourish across Taiwan. From the side, it mirrors the silhouette of a sparrow perched on a branch, its smooth curves allowing the box to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, creating visual harmony with nature.

Assembly is simplified with a mortise-and-tenon structure, making alignment and construction easy while offering participants the satisfaction of building the box themselves. This design also facilitates maintenance. A protective coating prevents discoloration and mold, enhancing durability and aesthetics. The rounded form and enlarged drainage holes ensure the interior remains dry and comfortable.
