超高齡社會的到來高齡輔具備受各界關注。而輔具對高齡者在生活品質上具有相當重要功用，不僅可讓老年安全生活，同時也減輕對家人或照護者的依賴，但市上的坐便椅缺乏對於長者的尊嚴考量，病者使用醫療器具導致長者在使用輔具時產生身心抗拒。因此，本研究目的以人本關懷、幸福設計觀點整合一般休閒椅與輔具坐便椅兩種功能椅，開發出「以幸福設計為核心的雙型態坐便椅裝置」以有效遏止不使用輔具的危險情形，改善照顧者與使用者雙方活品質，落實人本關懷，增加使用率。一、坐便椅型態1. 採用排泄物與椅體分離的設計，確保產品兼具休閒椅功能時，能有效降低衛生顧慮，減少異味並提升使用舒適度。2. 配備按鈕式沖水控制，可選擇大水或小水沖洗模式，達到節約用水效果，同時減少糞便殘留，提升清潔與衛生品質。3. 設置智能提示燈，當水箱缺水時亮起藍色燈，廢棄物收集箱滿時亮起橘色燈，提醒照護者及時補水與清理，確保設備維持良好運作與衛生狀態。4. 廢棄物收集箱內設有紫外線殺菌燈，對排泄物進行高效消毒，減少細菌與病毒滋生，降低異味並提升環境衛生安全。二、休閒椅型態1. 扶手設有可掀小桌板與杯架，便於放置物品與飲品，內建充電孔，方便使用者在休憩或如廁時為電子設備充電。

Hidden Realm Chair

With the arrival of a super-aged society, assistive devices for the elderly have garnered widespread attention. These devices play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, ensuring their safety while reducing dependence on family members or caregivers. However, existing commode chairs often lack consideration for the dignity of the elderly, as their association with medical equipment can lead to psychological resistance among users. Therefore, this study aims to integrate the functions of a regular leisure chair and a commode chair from the perspectives of human-centered care and happiness design. The goal is to develop a "Dual-Mode Commode Chair Device Centered on Happiness Design" to effectively prevent the risks associated with avoiding assistive devices, improve the quality of life for both caregivers and users, and promote human-centered care while increasing usage rates. The commode chair mode adopts a design that separates waste from the chair structure, ensuring the product maintains its function as a leisure chair while reducing hygiene concerns, minimizing odors, and enhancing comfort. It features a button-controlled flushing system with large and small flush options for water conservation while reducing waste residue, improving cleanliness and hygiene. Smart indicator lights are installed, with a blue light signaling a low water level and an orange light indicating a full waste collection bin, reminding caregivers to refill or clean the unit promptly. Additionally, a UV sterilization system in the waste collection bin effectively disinfects waste, minimizing bacteria and virus growth, reducing odors, and improving environmental hygiene. The leisure chair mode includes a foldable side table and a cup holder on the armrests for convenient placement of personal items and beverages. A built-in charging port is also integrated, allowing users to charge electronic devices such as phones and tablets while resting or using the chair.
