Reality of Obsessive

《痴迷的現實》是一部探討現代社會偶像崇拜現象的2D動畫作品。本創作靈感源自1980年代的動畫風格,旨在通過特定時代背景激發觀眾共鳴。故事圍繞著一位潮流音樂偶像的狂熱粉絲而展開,隨著實際互動的機會出現,主人公逐漸認識到偶像真實的一面,進而對虛幻的崇拜與現實的差距感到震驚與迷惘。本作品以2D電腦動畫軟件製作,輔以動畫編輯和特效軟件進行後期處理。本創作理念亦融入聯合國永續發展目標(SDGs),特別是第4項「優質教育」,期望透過視覺敘事促進觀眾的媒體素養,培養對於現今流行之演唱會消費行為的反思與理性欣賞的思維能力,而非對偶像盲目崇拜;以及第12項「負責任消費與生產」,以探討偶像崇拜現象對個人認知與社會文化的影響,提醒觀眾進行更有意識的媒體與偶像內容消費。

Reality of Obsessive

"Reality of Obsession" is a 2D animation work that explores the phenomenon of idolatry in modern society. This creation is inspired by the animation style of the 1980s and aims to resonate with the audience through the background of a specific era. The story revolves around a fanatical fan of a trendy music idol. As opportunities for actual interaction arise, the protagonist gradually realizes the idol's true side, and is shocked and confused by the gap between his illusory worship and reality. This work was produced using 2D computer animation software, supplemented by animation editing and special effects software for post-processing. This creative concept also incorporates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Item 4 "Quality Education", hoping to promote the audience's media literacy through visual narrative, and cultivate the ability to reflect on and rationally appreciate the current popular concert consumption behavior, rather than blindly worship idols; and Item 12 "Responsible Consumption and Production" to explore the impact of idol worship on personal cognition and social culture, and remind the audience to consume media and idol content more consciously.
The story revolves around Colt, who’s obsessed with the rock band Speedy's Overdrive, covering his room with their posters and even imagining conversations with the band’s frontman, Speedy. His world revolves around their music, offering him both comfort and an escape from reality. One day, while listening to the radio with his friend Brady, he hears about a contest—the winner gets a ticket to Speedy's Overdrive’s concert and a chance to meet Speedy in person. Overcome with excitement and nerves, Colt rushes to enter and miraculously wins.
The long-awaited day finally arrives, and Colt finds himself face-to-face with his idol. But as the moment unfolds, something feels off. The excitement he had imagined doesn’t match reality, leaving him unsettled. As events take an unexpected turn, Colt is forced to confront the truth about his idol, his obsession, and himself—challenging everything he once believed in.
